We began by checking in around all we’d been experimenting with since last time — applying and flexing a coaching approach, and keeping in a coaching mindset.

And then we got stuck into a collaborative exploration of how to Give and Receive Feedback Well. A chance to revisit the Directive, Coaching and Affiliative leadership styles — within the context of the much loved BID model.

Thanks for the Feedback, by Sheila Heen and Douglas Stone is a highly recommended read — with an excellent emphasis on pulling in the feedback we need (and what to do when it doesn’t quite land right with us).
